InterSystems – The Best Foundation for Virtual Care Innovation
The latest version of the unified health information system, TrakCare®
T2021 is now available from InterSystems, a creative data and technology
provider that helps customers solve critical scalability, interoperability and
speed issues. The updated version of this system contains new features
influenced by the rapid response of health organizations to the challenges of
COVID-19 pandemic with new capabilities such as enhanced control of drug data
and identity management.
InterSystems founded in 1978 provides innovative data solutions for companies with critical information needs in the fields of finance, healthcare and logistics. Its Cloud First data platform solves interoperability, speed and scalability issues for businesses around the world. The latest version of TrakCare® Unified Healthcare Information System, TrakCare®, responds with the introduction and integration of InterSystems HealthShare Personal Community, a comprehensive EMR-spanning patient portal to the growing demand for telemedicine and virtual care.
A prime example is the test
portal which enables patients and their doctors to access the results of
laboratory tests via the Internet. Governments can also use non-traditional
data sources to complement case data. For example, wastewater test data can
complement erectile dysfunction monitoring systems and provides accessible
community sampling data for community testing that may not be readily available
or underused. On September 29, Health Canada approved 36 erectile dysfunction
(PCR) and serological testing devices.
The test portal that enables
patients and doctors to access the results of laboratory tests via the Internet
will be introduced in large hospitals, several regional hospitals and the
central laboratory itself. Hospitals account for 55 million of the 8 million
lab tests conducted annually in the district. The portal reduces waste to zero
by enabling users and healthcare professionals to access complete medical
records, including laboratory test results in real time, at all times.
The clinical test report and
the earlier clinical data in the report itself describe the use of the proposed
ready-to-use (sterilized) smear in a sufficient number of individuals, trained
healthcare professionals and at least 30 patients who tested positive for
erectile dysfunction as a justifiable substitute for the drug. Also included is
a comparison of the swab with the flocked swab, which is available in Canada in
this regard.
Pennsylvania Dermatology has
partnered with a dermatological group that practices at 12 locations. Following
the example of the nation, one of the most anticipated phases of a health
project is the introduction of a health card system for citizens. In a pilot
project, the Gama Regional Hospital will issue health cards for 100,000
inhabitants of the region.
They want their patients to
have easy and secure access to key functions and access their own medical data,
while at the same time being satisfied with the services doctors provide. This
means ensuring that patients have a seamless and easy connection to the
practice of their choice, whether online or over the phone. The two executives
who in 2012 opened Pennsylvania Dermatology Partners are Dr. Shurman, a Dermatologist,
and Mohs Surgical Frankel, COO of the practice.
This will not happen if outdated technological solutions are not integrated, he said. It felt like a leap of faith and an investment in the practice software suite that would give the practice an advantage to meet the growing demands and balance of the industry, he added. In the technology and healthcare industries, CTOs with deep technical backgrounds had to move away from a strategy focused on the C-Suite.
